Swine Flu? Boost your immune system naturally.

Please see my previous posting for a link to a Financial Times of London article about the World Health Organisation's statement about the present flu outbreak and how it is thought that there will be a second wave that is much more deadly.

If there is to be a second wave that will be much more deadly, we need to boost our immune systems now! Do it naturally. Flu vaccines are at best useless as the virus mutates and will be very different by the time a vaccine is developed. At worst, flu vaccines have killed people! Watch this video!

So, how can you boost your immune system naturally? Here are a few suggestions.

  • Oregano oil is thought to boost the immune system. Use in an oil burner or mix 10mls with 50 mls of a good carrier oil like sweet almond oil and massage into your body after a bath or shower when your skin is warm.
  • Lavender oil is a good anti-bacterial. This is good if you have had an ordinary cold, followed by a secondary bacterial infection and you don't want to take an antibiotic since antibiotics deplete the immune system.
  • Take a good general vitamin supplement that will boost energy and your immune system.
Good Health Supplements

  • Herbal blends: golden seal, astragalus and echinacea. Thought to be the best herbal blend for boosting the immune system.
Organic Nutrition

  • Colloidal silver. This is becoming very popular as a natural way to boost the immune system.

Hi! My name is Daniel. I am a very active business entrepreneur. The wellness of my Immune System is a top priority. So your article is well-appreciated.
As a vegetarian, it is a slight challenge to find all of the bells and whistles to have a balanced diet. Your recommendations will be interesting additives to my Immune System arsenal.I really enjoy drinking Silk (Soy milk). Does this qualify as a recommended protein source? In the last 2 years, I have discovered and have been using an undenatured Whey-Protein source which provides the precursors(building blocks)for GLUTATHIONE the body’s master antioxidant. GLUTATHIONE is naturally produced in our body. However, it can be severely compromised,at all ages, by the many pathogens which we breathe in and ingest. Of course, as we age, GLUTATHIONE is depleted, unless we provide the building blocks for our body to replenish it. If this undenatured whey protein source sounds interesting as an added tool to your Immune System arsenal, you can learn more on the immunesystemwellness.com site.
Once again, thank you for helping me keep my Immune System in top shape!

Thank you, Daniel. That is really interesting. I didn't know about Glutathione. So, I shall look that up. I am vegetarian and, of course, always look for veggie capsules. I take Evening Primrose Oil and Flax Seed oil and buy those from a company based in the Channel Islands: no tax for those in the UK. Healthspan does a great range of vits, minerals, antioxidants etc.
